One more week to pack

This Saturday is our leaving party at Kildonan Hall; Mum is coming over tomorrow to say good-bye and to take Gael to live with her. We now have next week to pack all the last bits and pieces before Chris takes it all down to Bridport. We then have a week to do all the last minute things like visits to the dentist, our last jags for hep. B and cancelling things like milk etc. It will seem strange leaving everyone here who we know so well and I think the imminence of our departure is now dawning on us.

Five weeks until we leave Arran

Only five weeks now until we leave Arran, time is flying by, but I think we have now done as much as we can without the boat. The mini-bus has to go to the mainland next week as it has a faulty fuel pump (again) so we are without any transport for a few days, just as long as it is fixed before the journeys we have to make to Bridport. We have been looking at the possibility of mooring Octopus at West Bay for a week; it's only two miles from Chris' Mum's house which would be very convenient.

 

Victoria is six next week; she is going to be my biggest worry on the boat. She is so determined to do as she likes and doesn't always do as she is told. I think I will keep her strapped to the mast!!
